Holy cow, Andrew! HOLY COW!
I did a quick out-and-back to Alpine Dam yesterday after my parents left.
***I shaved 10 minutes off a one-hour loop and set 27 PRs.***
And here’s the best part: I didn’t actually feel like I was going harder than usual; I just felt more efficient. And comfortable! Today I have zero seat pain (amazing!), zero trap pain and only very moderate lower back pain (which happens pretty much any time I do anything outside of sitting on my ass). I’m so grateful and thankful that we (finally) got to do this. I’m really glad you got here early and you took your time and we got things so well tuned up. I’m a very satisfied customer! Thanks again and best regards,

“Andrew was the first person to ever diagnose me with a valgus left foot and varus right foot. He was also the first person to teach me the John Cobb Trick of angling the saddle so that would sit in the center of my seat. Most importantly he set me up with PowerCranks and switched me to shorter cranks! Now as a certified bikefit pro myself I look to Andrew as one of my advisers when it comes to bike fitting – he really knows his stuff!”

If your looking for a bike fit Andrew is your man!! I was experiencing a great deal of pain due to a leg length difference and was told by my Dr that I had to find a way to correct the length difference on the bike! After searching high and low I was lucky enough to find Andrew with Bikefit on the internet! I was not sure what I was getting myself into or if he would even be the right guy but I must say that after he got done with me not only did he correct the more than half inch leg length difference but he increase my power on the bike by 15 to 20%!! Now if you are the inpatient type Andrew is not for you because he takes his time and does it right! So be ready to get on the bike and get off the bike many, many times. But in he end he will do what ever it takes to get you fitted to your bike and get you back out on the road!! I highly recommend Andrew and you can call me on it!!

In 2012 I trained for Ironman CDA. I added clip on aerobars to my road bike and was always in pain on my bike. This pain would not allow me to ride more than 3 times in a week. I tried different saddles, different saddle angles/heights/etc. Basically I played with everything on my bike to make myself more comfortable. Unfortunately, nothing worked and I was uncomfortable for almost 7 hours during my Ironman. As a result, I didn’t ride much until Feb 2013. At that time I took the aerobars off and had Andrew do a complete bike fit. With his help I changed my pedals to custom spindle length Speedplays. We changed seat height, added shims/wedges to my cleats/shoes and changed my shifters a bit. During my rides now I am no longer in pain. I am eager to get back on the bike. I no longer feel that I can only ride 3 days in a week. An unexpected but welcomed improvement was my power output. I noticed that on an 8 mi rolling hill course, my power has increased by 25-28 watts! That is comparing my results from early Feb 2012 to early Feb 2013 on the same course. I am now in the process of buying a new tri bike and can’t wait to get fit on it.

I cannot speak highly enough about Andrew’s approach and professionalism to bike fitting. I’ve used Andrew for my initial bike set up and fitting and several follow-on sessions as I’ve changed or upgraded equipment. Nice thing is he can come directly to your home with all his equipment and fit you. Andrew doesn’t simply focus on the standard stuff like seat/seat post vertical/lateral and stem/handle bar vertical adjustments like most other bike fitters. Instead, he will also examine details such as pedal axle length and cleat/shoe adjustments/modifications. Andrew is also well versed on the possible benefits for riders of short cranks (I’ve since gone from 172.5mm to 155mm with significant and immediate performance increases). In my opinion Andrew’s services are beneficial not only for riders who have been experiencing any sort of discomfort/injury from riding, but also to the rest of us trying to optimize our performances.

Andrew has fit me on four of my bicycles and each time I’ve ridden away more comfortable and happier than I came in. I love how thorough he is, making sure my feet and knees are properly aligned to maximize power and minimized discomfort. When Andrew first fit me in 2012, it was the first time I heard about going to shorter cranks. Now, looking at what my teammates are doing, it appears to be the current trend. He was clearly ahead of the game! I’ve sent numerous people to Andrew for fittings: racers, casual riders and competitive triathletes. I have not heard an ounce of negative feedback. The level of personal attention and attention to detail you get with him is unparalleled, not only with regard to bike fitting, but service in general. You will not go wrong and your body will thank you for going to see him.

I have worked with several fit professionals and gurus over the past few years, but none of them are as knowledgeable or as approachable as Andrew Weber. He doesn’t need to use the gimmicky, trademarked “fit systems” that other studios and shops will name-drop whenever possible – Andrew knows his craft, and he knows it well. Andrew is incredibly attentive and accommodating. He’s willing to work around your schedule. His business is mobile; he’ll fit you at your house, at your workplace — he’ll even meet you out on the road for some real-world assessment. The fit itself was absolutely fantastic. Andrew spent a great deal of time on cleat placement and shimming — far more than any fitter I’ve ever worked with. From the cleats to the seat and saddle to the handlebars, Andrew will systematically dial in every detail. When it comes to finding the correct saddle, and will happily loan you one or two to try out on the open road. He’s a big proponent of experimentation; he had me test out shorter cranks and a different cadence, and those changes are now paying dividends. When Andrew fits you, he doesn’t just fit you and disappear — he becomes invested in your comfort and performance for the remainder of the season and beyond. Andrew constantly reaches out via email to make sure the fit’s still feeling good, that the power’s there and getting stronger. If I come back from a ride with a funny feel or soreness, I can shoot Andrew an email and he comes back quickly with knowledgeable suggestions and recommended adjustments. I really appreciate all of the insight and advice Andrew has provided and look forward to continuing to work with him in the future!

Absolutely the best bike fit ever! If you’re even remotely serious about a proper bike fitting, then you need to see Andrew. He has the knowledge and experience to ensure your bike is fit for maximum comfort and efficiency. When I felt I was due for a bike fit, I knew I didn’t want another static fit, I was convinced there had to be something better out there. I booked a bike fit with Andrew through Chirokinetics.com.
Upon meeting Andrew, he took a methodical and systematic approach to the bike fit process, beginning with an in-depth interview covering everything from what I currently liked and didn’t like about my bike’s overall positioning and comfort level, to my experience level, and my physical limitations (2 broken collarbones, left ACL, right labrum, and lots of scar tissue) by the look on his face I think he was surprised I was standing let alone could ride my bike. As he took notes, I rambled on and bragged about my battle scars from my old motocross days, until it came time to mount the bike and warm up prior to getting down to the nitty gritty of the following process; make adjustment, provide feedback, make more adjustments, more feedback, then repeat.
More than once, Andrew said “let’s try this” as he would tweak an adjustment we just dialed in, just to be sure. My bike fit didn’t end there, once I got home he kept tabs on me over the next few days to see if it felt differently on the road vs on the trainer. He also made a house call dropping off about 50 saddles for me to try over the next two weeks. I spent 4 hours on my trainer that night, and 5 hours the next day testing those saddles, followed by several road test sessions over the next week, until I found “the one”!
End Result – My bike is more comfortable than I thought possible. My cleats and feet feel more solid and connected than ever with the pedals, the brakes and shifters are in a more natural position to my hands, and best of all, I finally found a saddle that I’m really happy with.
I recommend that you not to waste your time with inexperienced bike fitters/bike shops. The only true way to maximize your comfort and increase efficiency on your bike is obvious, SEE ANDREW!!

I scheduled my fitting for the last Friday of Spring Break and I took both bikes in. The fitter, Andrew, spent a long time asking questions about my riding history and injuries. We started the fitting working on the Cervelo and my shoes. Your body only connects to the bike in five places – hands, feet and butt. There is only so much you can do with hands and butt. I’ve discovered just how important that foot connection is. Andrew started making little tweaks to my saddle position and I would ride in the drops and see how quickly I could make my back hurt. Then he put some shims under the cleats in my shoes and we experimented with those. Last, he put shorter cranks on the bike. Oh my! I’ve always had a slight ache in my knees when I ride. I figured it was normal and just part of how I was put together. I’ve always used my knees as the reason I can’t ride a larger gear. I can leg press 450 pounds (3 sets of ten!), so it couldn’t be strength holding me back. It had to be joints. Shorter cranks = no knee ache! After about 4 hours, the Cervelo was done. We didn’t spend much time on the Riv, as the biggest changes came from the shims in my shoes and the shorter cranks. We’ve since put shorter cranks on the Riv as well. The Riv is now back in the trainer and I’m riding the Cervelo outside.
I’ve done two bricks (bike/run) on the Cervelo since the fitting. The back pain has not come back and the bike feels easier to pedal. When I compare the last brick I did before the fitting, to the two rides I’ve done since, my average speed over the same 17 mile stretch of road has increased by one mile per hour. That’s 5 minutes faster for a 17 mile hilly stretch. In addition, I’m not working as hard. Pre fitting my average heart rate over that section was 149. Post fitting rides,my heart rate was 141 and 136. Faster with less effort. A heart rate of 149 puts me into zone 4 and that was my average, not my high.
Finally, I have to say that my runs on my brick days seem to be easier post fitting. This last run, my quads didn’t feel very heavy at all. I have been doing the exact same route each time. Pre fitting I did the 30 minute run at a 12:40 pace and an average heart rate of 161. My brick run right after the fit was at a 12:36 pace and average heart rate of 154.

Hey Andrew, I was just about to check in with you! Things are great! No knee problems at all and I can climb with the tri bike like never before. In fact Sunday I climbed Brockway summit 3 times (the big climb at the Tahoe ironman).
Thanks so much!…

In my second year of cycling I was experiencing pain and numbness in my legs which I soon learned was due to pressure on my spine in my lower back due a problematic disc. No way was this situation going to keep me off my bike. In comes Andrew to the rescue. With mastery and charm Andrew dialed in my fit so that my contact points were exactly just right allowing me to ride pain free, ride longer distances, AND ride with more power! All this expert care in the comfort of your home. As my fitness levels improve and my fit numbers change Andrew has been there at a moments notice to adjust the fit accordingly.
Geoffrey Kaplan – San Francisco, CA
“101.4 miles, 4,990 feet elevation and no Pain! No fucking pain! You’re my bike angel. Thank you! I am in love with the saddle, too. No numb toes, no big hot spots, no strain behind my knees. You’re genius”
I can not recommend Andrew Weber highly enough. He is incredibly skilled, patient, and highly dedicated to fitting his clients. I first met with Andrew after riding a new road bike for several months and finding that my old injuries were flaring up making it nearly impossible for me to ride without pain (knees, lower back, tailbone). Andrew not only spent hours fitting me during three sessions over the course of a couple of months, but he also communicated with me regularly while I was on my long training rides to check on my progress, and to suggest minor adjustments in response to issues arising. Throughout the process, Andrew took time to finesse the most minute adjustments and he had the patience of a saint to bear with me while we tweaked my fit! Yesterday, I successfully road my first century (over 100 miles) with NO PAIN! Thanks to Andrew, I truly can say that I LOVE long distance cycling rather than enduring hours of discomfort and pain. Andrew’s skill, dedication, care, and intuition make him an incredible bike fitter that truly sets him above any other. I look forward to working with him over the years.

“Just got done doing a bike fit with Andrew “the bike whisperer”. Well worth the time and appreciate the information for every minor adjustment he did through the fitting. I definitely feel a whole lot better after the bike fit, every pedal stroke now feels effortless and sitting on the saddle feels like I’m not sitting at all. How is that possible ? True bike fit magic. Looking forward to the next big ride. Yeehaw! Highly recommended!”

My bike rode like a dream today! It honestly felt like an entirely different bike. Much more comfortable and more efficient with the shorter cranks for sure! Thanks again for all your help!

Andrew of Bike Fit is just a great person all around and makes house calls. He brought saddles, stems, and just about everything needed to give me just the right bike fit. If Andrew didn’t have the item required to make my fit ideal, he had it ordered and sent to my home. He came back a few more times to fine-tune the adjustment and it’s been almost two years since the fit. I trust him so much that I introduced him to the AIDS/LifeCycle community and I know at least five more cyclists have called Andrew. He’s even been called the Bike Whisperer. For new and experienced cyclists, Andrew is gem and will make sure you have the bike fit that helps you enjoy cycling. He has come to early morning training rides to make adjustments for his clients — that, my friends, is a true testament of his dedication for his services and craft. On a 5-star scale, I’d give him 6 stars.

I was truly amazed about Andrew’s knowledge of bicycles! He spent endless hours asking questions while making numerous adjustments to ensure that I was feeling better and better throughout the fit. After I got fit I felt I could go a lot faster on the bike with less effort. When my wrists were hurting hurting Andrew proceed to follow me while I was on a training ride and made the necessary adjustments. On a few occasions Andrew even came over to my workplace a few times to drop off products to try to make sure that the bike was fitting as best as possible.
I extremely impressed by his professionalism and with his genuine concern of how my bike fit was. He called me numerous times after the fit to make sure things were going fine. I highly recommend Andrew as he is willing to travel and his fees are very reasonable.

Hi Andrew! Yesterday was great! I was able to pedal much more effectively. I made it up some pretty steep hills without batting an eye. I finished 84 out of 400. Not that it’s a race 😉 Overall, a huge change. No neck, back or wrist pain at all. Able to climb much faster.
